3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is very political and racist to white people my kid is of mixed race (white and black) but they do not care about my child or most white children because of political views and skin tone which doesn't go well with my child who has multiple learning and emotional disorders (NVLD, ADD, Depression, and mild anxiety). Do Not choose this school if you are of white race or have a child with learning disorders because they do not handle learning disorders at all, they will just throw your child in a ditch an let them fail.Parent Review2y ago - Washington District Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI Would not recommend at all. As a parent my daughter moved schools due to move for one of her parents jobs. We thought a small rural school would be better. We had a better experience at an iner- city school in Portsmouth Va. This school pushed state testing to the extreme. To the point my daughter as anxiety about school. Thankfully this year my daughter has a new teacher . The majority of the staff is very unwelcoming with a select few that are wonderful. This agin is my Personal opinion as a parent! Bus rides are long but we have been blessed with the best of the best ! The middle school is almost to the next county! We will be looking at other options this fall.Parent Review1mo ago

"This is a great place to live! I love the quiet time and the feeling of home. The area is beautiful and there are some restaurants in town to visit. As for schools, I hear they are good, and most people in the community are very friendly."

"Very nice and simple ride. Not like city full of traffic. More so laid back and nice scenery while driving. Many places to stop for shopping or eating. Definitely nice tiki bats on the beach with live music and good food. "

"You would not like not having sidewalks. But mostly other people not keeping up with their animals. Too many dogs and cats running around to potentially attack you and your dog. I've had some come into my back yard and the owner running behind them. A couple of times there was no owner in sight. "

"It's a golf cart community, so you can use golf carts and everything on the roads to transit the town for short distance if you don't want to walk, or don't want to drive."

"We have a weekend and summer home / second home here for our family.for many years. We raised the children with our summers and every chance we get to come. The beaches are so fun, we fly kites and romp around, we have a jetski and boat. What fun. Also the Town has great restaurants, entertainment, and a big hit for the kids growing up - the playgrounds. Clean and quiet and pretty. This Town has so much pride. We have great friends and neighbors. I had friends from Warrenton who moved there, and they are so happy! Her husband loves to fish, and she loves to walk and stay active. She says the Town gave them new life !! I agree!1 "
