Students have mentors, exposure to rigorous curriculum, tutors, technology, extended opportunities, etc. They have worked hard to create a safe learning environment where students not only recieved an education but on site they have access to a community center where they can recieved eye exams, dental treatments, even wellness checks and mental health counselors is necessary so basic needs are meet and can focus on school in the classroom. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school has a great administrative staff. The front office staff is very friendly and helpful. The Assistant principal connects with the students on a different level. The PTA group/parents are always pushing for different activities for the students and families. They have multiple resources to support the students and families in the community. I like the fact that if you have any concerns about your child's behavior or education, they have an open-door policy where you can address those concerns. I will say because they serve a lower-income community, a lot of the students come in severally behind or under grade level, which makes the school look bad. They ask daily for parent participation. "It is 15 minutes away from everything. Apopka, Winter Park, Downtown, Maitland, Ocoee, etc. It is a nice area with a beautiful lake up the street from my neighborhood."
