3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI reviewed this school last year, "Overall experience". This is just an update... I still stand by my original comments regarding the teachers and lunch room staff, they are wonderful, for the most part. My opinion on the office staff has changed dramatically! After getting to know Ms. Donna and Ms. Linda, I now see how darn busy those dedicated ladies are and I now know I judged them unfairly! As for the principal, I also still stand by my comments on him. And will add, his short "I don't have time for parents" attitude has not changed and his lack of attention or acknowledgment of bullying needs to change. Yes, this school participates in the bullying program, but the principle and teachers seem to be oblivious as though they are not paying attention or they just don't care. I'm not sure which it is, but this school has a HUGE bullying problem. I would also like to add to my comments regarding the librarian and art teacher. Both are VERY short with the children, CONSTANTLY speak to the children in a disgruntled manner, and the children flat out do not want to go into these rooms because of the way they are treated when there.Parent Review5y ago - South High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBoth of my kids have had a great experience at South. The teachers care and are always willing to communicate. They have gone above and beyond for my kids. The coaches work really hard to teach teamwork and how to help each other. I would say that all the staff at South puts in a lot of effort to make sure our kids are safe and feel welcomed.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 4820 E 12th St #5.
