N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter went to Truman in 2009/2010, her teacher was Mrs. Sitzes. Great teacher! Now my youngster daughter will start this coming year 2011/2012 , she can't wait to start since she was involved in some of the extra activities that the school provided for the students and she was able to participate with her sister. I hope Mrs. Sitzes can be her teacher. I love the away the entire staff works and respect everyone. My first daughter left there reading very well.Parent Review13y ago - Jefferson Elementary School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA small class consists of twenty students. The average class size is twenty-four or twenty-five. The common core standards require the children to constantly be drilled and tested and the curriculum is not very engaging. The standards require quite a lot of homework to maintain decent grades. We as parents are often not notified on what the testing consists of or the standards are children are required to master until report cards are recieved. Communication between administration and parents could use improvement.Parent Review9y ago - Farmington Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is the WORST school in all of the Farmington R-7 School District. Most Teachers will not help the student. The principals will not do anything about bullying. No stall doors in boys bathrooms. About 45% of the students in this school do tobacco products or other drugs. Multiple kids have reported that kids are doing the drugs but none of the administrators do anything about it. They are taking the doors off of the bathrooms. Fights break out about twice a week. Kids get ISS for small things or doing nothing at all but the other kids who do bigger things don't get in trouble at all! The buses are like were the drugs get passed around. Bus drivers do deal with the problem though. The bathrooms are nasty and the E hallway bathroom is always closed do to kids breaking everything. Teachers will not help your student(s) out. My student at FMS has turned in about 17 papers into his science teacher and he hasnt entered it into the gradebook so he is failing his science class. My reccomonddation? Take them to Central School District for 7th and 8th grades!Parent Review9y ago - Farmington Sr. High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageEvery school has problems. No school is immune to not having issues. When I went to school there it was a great school and I wasn't even one of the popular kids but I had friends, the teachers liked me and my family wasn't rich. High School is what you make of it. Those are your four years and if you feel like you got the short end, well that's more on you then the school itself. So some kids get more breaks then others, its high school and that happens in every school across America. The lunches were well, school lunches. Some parents engaged in their kids life and others parents stayed away as far as they could. I remember Prom being a blast and it was one of my favorite memories of High School. The Homecoming parade year in and year out was always good and so was the game. I got a good education and I did make good grades. But if i'm being honest I could have asked for more help or clarity from my teachers and I could have tried harder to have gotten all A's instead of achieving and settling for just A's, B's and C's. Now that I'm older, I realize high school was exactly what high school was supposed to be, a life lesson on how to achieve success and learn how to be an adult and make tough but honorable life decisions. Did Farmington prepare me for everything? No but what school does? None of them do but they are there to help you build a foundation and prepare you on the basics of getting started as an adult once you graduate.Other Review1mo ago - Washington-Franklin Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI enjoy the special activities that the children do at Roosevelt. They have special reading days on weekends, reading counts, special days with teachers based on performance, special days with the principle based on performance and many opportunities for the children to see their achievement.Parent Review13y ago - Check out schools near 4816 Red Rooster Ln.

"Our neighborhood is quiet, friendly and very clean. Our whole town is very clean. We have lots of cultural and recreational activities for all groups and ages. Our school district is recognized nationally for our scholastic achievements. Our infrastructure is very good streets and sidewalks in great condition. It’s only a short walk to local parks. Downtown is less than 1 mile away. With lots of shopping less than 2 miles away. Our new library is approximately 1 mile from my neighborhood, and there are churches everywhere. Architecturally you can find most anything you want, In many price ranges. The crime rate is really low, and Farmington is the county seat. BJC hospital is Relatively new and is located right on Highway 67. Your 3 miles away from one of the larger state parks, nearly 10,000 acres in size. Lots of restaurants, and Farmington is the hub for shopping in southeast Missouri."
