The teachers/administration are excellent and treat the kids & parents like they are all part of the big Madison family. It’s pretty special. My kids came from a school where some kids were driving $40,000 cars, it was very pretentious & stressful for all the wrong reasons. I ask them all the time if they regret our move & coming to Madison and they always tell me that they love Madison & have no regrets. Plus they have made some really great friends. Sure, Madison is an older school that needs some updating and a fresh coat of paint in some areas, but don’t judge a book by its cover. The staff is so caring to make sure kids succeed and make sure they are emotionally ok. They have a zero tolerance for bullying and rarely hear about things happening at the school. "As I do not own a dog, I can only say that there are a great deal of safe sidewalks and community parks to take your dogs to (leashed of course). For the amount of dogs I’ve seen in the last year, a dog in the area wouldn’t be such a bad idea. Quiet community and everyone you pass on the street greets you pleasantly. "
