5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageField Elementary is a hidden gem. As soon as you take a tour, you see the wonderful work of the principal, teachers and staff. The children are happy and learning. The PTA is strong and there are often parent volunteers on campus. My son came into Field without any Spanish exposure and after 2 years, he is confident in speaking, reading and writing. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids started their Senior and Sophmore year at Madison and both love it. The teachers/administration are excellent and treat the kids & parents like they are all part of the big Madison family. It’s pretty special. My kids came from a school where some kids were driving $40,000 cars, it was very pretentious & stressful for all the wrong reasons. I ask them all the time if they regret our move & coming to Madison and they always tell me that they love Madison & have no regrets. Plus they have made some really great friends. Sure, Madison is an older school that needs some updating and a fresh coat of paint in some areas, but don’t judge a book by its cover. The staff is so caring to make sure kids succeed and make sure they are emotionally ok. They have a zero tolerance for bullying and rarely hear about things happening at the school. "As I do not own a dog, I can only say that there are a great deal of safe sidewalks and community parks to take your dogs to (leashed of course). For the amount of dogs I’ve seen in the last year, a dog in the area wouldn’t be such a bad idea. Quiet community and everyone you pass on the street greets you pleasantly. "
