5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am an eighth grade student at this school. My experience here is horrible. My 7th grade year was alright, but the organization of the schedules and classes is not very good. Teachers throw information at students and don’t make them excited about their learning or thoroughly explain each topic for them to understand. The amount of homework is absurd. I am in all advanced classes and math two grade levels ahead. For our advanced classes we learn the exact same thing as kids in the regular classes with the exception of having more work, less explanation and more having to figure it out on our own. I am up past 12 am each night to catch up will all the homework. The kids in this school are racist, have behavioral issues, and every day there’s at least 4 people in in-school suspension as soon as I walk in through the door. The teachers will raise their voice at students for not understanding the material, making us afraid to ask for help. In addition, I’m not sure if it’s just the teachers I was assigned, but 6/8 of my teachers are in a bad mood all the time and let their personal struggles get in the way of their teaching and relationships with students. My language arts teacher has cursed at our class multiple times, taken student work and shown it to the whole class as an example of what not not do, and wastes work time by talking about issues she has with students. A lot of the time instructions are unclear and time is wasted because many people did not understand the assignment the way that the teachers excepted them to understand it. All of our students in one grade eat lunch at the same time with only two small cafeterias. The lunch lines are astronomical and the procedures are all over the place. The only thing I like is the clubs and activities. Some friends of mine recently suggested we get a volleyball teams for both genders, and the school approved this, so now we have those as well as a huge list of sports and clubs. Most of the kids in this school agree with the things I listed because we have conversations about these things frequently.Student Review2mo ago - Brdgwtr Raritn Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers are always racially profiling POC kids. I personally have had experiences of getting yelled at for dropping things and being told i threw it, getting dressed coded for wearing a pink bandanna while my white friends don’t and getting asked inappropriate questions like of my hair is real. Some of the students and teachers helped my experiences and made me feel welcomed and my grades were fine but the racial experiences made it difficult to keep attending school.Student Review3y ago - Adamsville Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis review is mainly for their panthers preschool program and administrative staff. My daughter attended the preschool program when it was at Crim and I loved it. I was shocked to hear the entire program moved to Adamsville 2 years ago but thought it should be the same as all the teachers are the same. Boy was I wrong. I learned what a difference it makes when you have good supporting and administrative staff. The staff at Adamsville do not communicate with you and very unresponsive. You can never reach anyone even when you have an urgent matter. The nurse is always out of office and doesn’t reply until at least over a week later. And more importantly, they lie about a lot of things. When you can get to someone, they will tell you what you want to hear just to brush the matter off when in reality, they don’t care and aren’t/won’t do anything to address or resolve your issue. My son lost transportation this year and I was told there’s no school bus for everyone in the preschool program. That was a lie as I see preschoolers hop on the buses everyday during pick up. Then I asked again and was told none of the bus service my area. That was also a lie as I see a bus with 2 students on it pass by my street everyday. So when you ask a question they don’t want to answer, they will just ignore you completely. But to be fair, the teachers in the program are wonderful and they truly care for each and every student. Some teachers will go above and beyond to ensure the well being of the students. My daughter had such great experiences with her teachers (which they are still in Adamsville) that she still talks about how wonderful they are to this day (she is currently in grade 1). There is no point in wasting your money in this program when you can pay a little more and have longer hours and better than experience elsewhere. The school hours are so short that I literally only have 2 hours in between drop off and pick up. Every day, I just have the urge to pull my son out of the program just to keep my sanity. But the only reasons why I kept my son there is because of the teachers and he loves going to school to play with his classmates. I cannot wait for the school year to be done.Parent Review2y ago - Hillside Intermediate School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHillside Intermediate is a fantastic school. The staff and teachers are amazing. They have Roots and Shoots which no other school in NJ is a part of. There are many after school activities for the children to join. I love this school.Other Review8y ago - Check out schools near 420 Stratford Pl.

"I used to live in Bound Brook and plan on relocating back. The south end of the town near Main Street is not not recommended, but the north side of town, especially in Piedmont is fabulous. Beautiful, well-kept homes and wonderful people."

"Bound Brook in general is a great community in which to raise children. There are many activities: T-ball, Little League, Pop Warner Football, girls softball, basketball, soccer. Many recreational facilities and teams that cost little or nothing. The main park, Codrington Park, has pools for children and older children and adults, along with swim lessons and summer special activites. The town is a walking town, easily within walking distance to the train station. Bound Brook is a little more than 1 square mile where everyone knows everyone and is a place to live with friendly neighbors in every area."
