4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNot a terrible school overall. Most teachers are nice, some of my classmates aren't the sharpest tools in the shed, and the food could be better. I personally dislike the ISS staff. I'd rate the bad teachers 2/5 stars and the good ones 5/5 stars they are just great.Student Review9mo ago - Sherman High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA+ We love this school. The kids that are being dropped off are greeted at the door. Teachers and principles know the parents/guardians who picks up the children in the afternoon. At this school the teachers and the parents are a true team.Parent Review11y ago - Dillingham Intermediate School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf you want your child bullied, exposed to inappropriate things from sexual comments and advances as well as suicidal threats and attempts and you are ok with the administration overlooking it then this is the school district for you. If you want a school that is more worried about the bodies in the school than really allowing the teachers the time to teach our kids then this is the school district for you. If you want a school district that is full of clicks and treats the teachers like they are trash then by all means hurry and sign your kid up for this district. In my 53 years I have never seen a district that the students allowed to do the things I witnessed nor has it ever been tolerated for one student to hit not only other students, but a teacher and to be told nothing was done was a great disappointment. This district lost a great teacher because they allowed unimaginable things to take place and turned a blind eye to it. I would not put any of my kids or grandchildren in this district and I am truly grateful my family is out of this district and will NEVER return.Parent Review7mo ago - Check out schools near 42 Mundt St.

"Short and sweet. Nothing is too far from anything else. The next largest city is Sherman, TX - a whopping 10 mile south of Denison. The traffic between here and there can be testy, but is rarely grueling."

"Certain parts of this town are great but you have to watch out for crime in certain areas. Downtown is getting better, and the country areas are wonderful "

"Way too many pit bulls and aggressive dogs in the neighborhood. It is hard to take your dog for a walk without getting jumped on by another dog. It has happened to us more than once. "

"We have a great dog park in the middle of town. People are very friendly and have their dogs fenced. I have witnessed most dog owners have their dogs on leashes. There are various dog stations, like poop bags, downtown. The stores will put out a water bowl for the dogs. There’s a lot of things to do with your dog. They have a festival just for dogs in the spring. You can take your dog trick or treating and dress them up. I love living here with my family and three dogs. "

"The only con to living in this area owning a dog is the street I live on, Morton st, is a very busy street. But thankful I have an alley in the back with plenty of parking, leaving me enough room to take her out back there. "

"Our neighborhood overlooks a quiet old cemetery that gives the area a sense of timelessness, we have kind neighbors who take walks with their spouses and families, and a great relationship with a veteran neighbor who keeps an eye out on our place when we are away. New brick homes are being developed around us, so we are looking forward to their positive impact"
