5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWoodland School is absolutely amazing. The principal, Bruce Hull, is extremely committed to making sure each child has what s best for him or her, even allowing the parents to make recommendations that will allow him to make an informed decision regarding which teacher to assign to each child. Bussing is available to every student, with particularly gifted students even being bussed across town to a full-time multi-level class with the best of the best from three elementary schools in the district. Commitment to education is at a high, with a highly effective balance between discipline and understanding. Unruly children are punished, but tempered with mercy appropriate to the situation. The Parents group sponsors all sorts of activities, including six Movie Nights per year: the kids each pay $4 to school in their pajamas, with sleeping bags, and watch their choice of two movies in either the cafeteria or the gym. Treats are available for a 25 -$1.00, with all proceeds sponsoring student needs. Parents are welcome to join their children for lunch, with reasonable prices in the cafeteria for students and parents alike. In short, the school is awesome.Parent Review9y ago - Check out schools near 4191 Amethyst Pl.

"Nice quiet residential area but very few playgrounds for children! Also lacking bicycle lanes and a basic grocery store and drug store that are walking distance :-("

"people who have dog's usually won't pick up behind their animals, so why have them if you won't clean up. I think they should have more dog's parks. "

"Dogs are very welcome but the aggressive owners that rub off on these beautiful animals shouldn't be whether they have a so called aggressive breed or 🚫 not, keep it moving. They are taught to be aggressive they don't come out that way! Everyone love your dog today and remember they are very much part of the family, they will return that love 10 fold for free. "
