3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI am very disappointed with Trotwood. The district has developed a 50% policy, which is not helping the students get prepared for college AT ALL. Whether you do your assignment or not, the students are automatically given 50%. With little or no effort students can pass with a 61% for virtually doing nothing. Secondly, the theory behind not giving homework is that "students don't do it anyway", which has been quoted to me by various teachers! On the contrary, there are some really good teachers that are willing to go the extra mile WHEN a parent/guardian solicits extra help. As a parent of a child in Trotwood ( or any school for that matter) you have to stay involved, check ProgressBook, attend parent/teacher conferences etc. Updated grades in ProgressBook has been an ongoing issue for me as we'll because some teachers don't input grades but 1-2 times a quarter which doesn't give you a clear picture of your child's progress. I'm struggling with not pulling my child out next year, but he'll be a senior and will have a tough time adjusting.Parent Review11y ago - Trotwood-Madison Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageive had 2 kids go to Trotwood Early learning Center, my youngest still attends there! he absolutely loves it and was so excited to go back when the school year started again! he was bouncing up and down the whole time we were getting ready for school! The teachers are great and everytime my oldest goes when we take my youngest, hes always seeing old teachers and giving them hugs and such! both my children love this school and I would recommend them to anybody over any other school that's out in the Dayton area!Parent Review9y ago - Trotwood-Madison Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDear Westbrook Elementary, This is a review coming straight from the heart. This school needs to do better on academic levels. When I was a student there I thought the school was great, but once I left I saw how more challenging the work was. Trotwood schools seriously needs to step their games up. Fights and shootings. Come on guys you can do better. Trotwood used to be a "B" rated school now and "F". I loved Westbrook so much, but it really breaks my heart to see kids failing. I would love to see a change.Other Review2mo ago - Check out schools near 4110 Elysian Ct.
