4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is undergoing a dramatic transformation....a new and exceptional principal, a beautiful and inviting addition....this was always a great school due to the staff, but now it has been invigorated with a fresh facelift, fresh ideas and fresh energy!Parent Review10y ago - Martin J. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI’m currently in my 8th grade year. The rules for phones and other related things are unreasonable and wildly strict. It feels like a prison in here, I like 50% of the teachers. But there is LOTS of bullying that goes un-noticed because teachers are uneducated on what bullying looks like now and it’s a lot less obvious. Although you will meet lots of people, yes 80% of them are extremely rude, but the next 20% are actually decent human beings. Also this school does not care about mental health in anybody, teachers included from what I’ve seen.Student Review6mo ago - Peter Cooper Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son has attended Peter Cooper for 3 years. All 3 of his teachers have been amazingly sweet, caring educators. I have always felt that the administrators and staff embrace a culture of kindness, being helpful and actually getting to know the kids. The school teaches kids about nature and instills a strong respect of wildlife and nature in general. My son has gone from being a shy average student to being a very high performing and more confident student in the last three years. I feel that his teachers and positive environment have been a huge part of that.Parent Review3mo ago - Lakeland Reg High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLORD OF THE FLIES HS-- Courses are taught down to the slowest student in the class. Drug deals are made in the hallways. Bathrooms don't work and haven't been repaired in years. The teachers are mostly incapable of controlling their class and do not teach what they claim to on their syllabuses. The administration is hopelessly at the mercy of aggressive students who run the school like groups of thugs. If your child is bullied they segregate him/her as they have no courage to stand up to the bullies. Go someplace else!Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 41 Olive Ln.

What Locals Say about Ringwood

"There is a local dog park but it is made of pebbles and no one picks up after their dog there. Luckily the streets are very walkable and most people have dogs in the neighborhood. Dogs are not allowed on lake property and must be leashed at all times. There are many dog walkers in the neighborhood as well. "

"The area is very beautiful to the eye, people are very friendly, where community matters. The schools are great and kids are able to grow up in a nice environment. There are a lot of family/individual activists to do in area. It is like living in the country, yet having access to all the usual stores/restaurants etc that you have in a middle class neighborhood. "Ringwood is a very private town. They have a couple of parades every year. Lots of events at the local churches and library. I’m a lifetime resident of 44 years. I enjoy Ringwood because I can leave my car running at the local market without even a thought of it being stolen. I have chosen to enjoy the solitude of living in the woods and not having to be very neighborly. But when tough times come, everyone is always willing to help and work together, Ringwood is great at giving you that choice. I come to Ringwood to hide from the rest of the world, with its fresh air, forests and beautiful lakes. "

"Ringwood is a beautiful community situated in the Ramapo Mountains, and is loaded with lakes, parks, and forest trails. It's physical beauty is matched by the flavor of the community of which it is comprised. This is a tight-knit community where there is always a friendly smile and "hello" to greet you wherever you go. New Jersey Magazine has named it in its top 20 places to raise children, and with good reason. The lakes, athletics, schools, clubs, etc. provide a place for every member of every family to shine! It is truly a place like no other!"
