8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved from Rio Vista Elemetary in Anaheim to El Moro in Laguna Beach where my son has attended 3rd grade via virtual academy and now 4th grade in person. Standards were low at Rio Vista and my son fell behind, we thought he was doing well! El Moro raised the standards and, on their own, provided him with extra support to catch him up. With such a beautiful location, teachers are happy to be here and want every student to succeed. They are kind and patient, excited to teach bringing love and fun into their classrooms and are strong advocates against bullying. The principal is on top of it, kind, prompt, concerned for every students well being and success. Their school events are big! Wow! People really show up for their kids here, it's amazing to see a community that cares so much about education and emotional support. As a school that puts mental health over grades, the love and support they shower our kids with here is shown in their test scores.Parent Review2y ago - Laguna Beach High School

What Locals Say about Laguna Beach

"Good family neighborhood, nice area, low crime. No sidewalks, so street infrastructure can be unsafe. Parks are driving distance, not many parks in walking distance. PCH and bad drivers are a larger risk. "

"The Laguna beach dog park is the best in the county! 3 acres. Gorgeous maintained. Very dog friendly community. Beaches are dog friendly during off season."

"I think it’s important that parents take their kids to the parks in the neighborhood and Laguna for their kids to play with each other. The baseball team through Laguna Beach and school activities are incredible. I see a lot of the high school kids and my grandson as well surfing down at Thalia Street"

"We have block parties a few times a year. We watch out for strangers and know who our neighbors are. Word gets around and many are members of Next Door so if lost pets are found or any suspect incidents we all are aware."

"I live in Rancho Laguna neighborhood and it is totally different from the village. It is where we join the world of nature and the ocean Surrounding it. We also have much better parking and a designated trolley to bring us into the village. One day you see a family of coyotes raising their young and the next you see deer frolicking in the meadow. It is the secret sanctuary of Orange County. "

"There are very few bag “poop” stations. The city should definitely do more to provide for its four legged friendly community."
- Kristywallick

"Laguna Canyon gets backed up from 5-7pm... also some traffic in the morning. Summers and spring break are also very busy times in Laguna Beach with tourists and more traffic. "

"Our neighborhood has Moulton Meadows Park where children play soccer and neighbors play tennis and basketball. Lots of dog walking going on! Our block closes down one Sunday in the summer for a block party where we meet our neighbors and have pot luck. Halloween we go down to Oak Street to see and be seen in costumes."
