8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageNot the best academic opportunities, but some amazing teachers and excellent resources. Principal concentrates primarily on social issues and far less on advancing academics for all levels of students. Below average involvement of parents in advancing the students' abilities. Standards in most classes are minimal expectations, with a few inspiring hardworking talented teachers. Above average school due to teachers and resources, not the administration.Parent Review1mo ago - Camden-Rockport Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageLovely school and faculty. No social or family events AT ALL. In the two years we’ve been at this school not one in-person PTA meeting, book fair, harvest festival, Daddy daughter dance. Literally nothing. No student directories to connect with families, and make playdates. It is the strangest, loneliest school outside school hours. Covid was a factor, of course, but after awhile here now I notice other schools have events and potlucks, celebrations often. This school is an anomaly that way. I have brought this to the principals attention, the school district even. There are a few people on a monthly Zoom for PTA you have to seek to find info on. If we weren’t so close to timing out of this school grade wise I would transfer out for this reason alone. Elementary were the sweetest years of my older sons life, in another state, and I am really sad for this part of the experience here. It’s been really hard for a new kid to get friendships to stick outside of class and during the summer.I write this review with genuine hope that something can be done. There’s not even a community Facebook group families can interact in. A gaping whole in social-emotional development.Parent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 40 Washington Street UNIT 208.

"We have lived in this house since 1976. It is one block from the library and harbor and two blocks from the grocery store, the bank and the post office. We can go for weeks without ever getting in the car. Most neighbors are here for the summer so we have the street pretty much to ourselves in the winter."
- btasillo

"Prototypical New England seaport town. Incredible vistas, lots of green space and frequent entertainment and outdoor activity in the Summer. Not a big nightlife town, pretty quiet by 10pm, but the days start early this far East! Atlanta residents for 20+ years, the Camden lifestyle is more appealing every time we visit. Considering a winter trip to see if we could hack it!"
