5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a student at Benjamin Franklin. I started at this school when I was in Pre-K, and I am now in the 9th grade at Lusher School. When I attended this school before Hurricane Katrina it was a magnet school meaning you had to take a test. After Katrina the school was obliged to allow any student in without taking a test. The teachers at Benjamin Franklin do not care about the child's education, they do not have a great disciplinary system at all and they just student do whatever they choose at this school. That is why I decided to leave for 8th grade at Lusher School. I will say that the only good thing about Benjamin Franklin is that it goes from Pre-K to 8th grade. I f you want your child to go to an extraordinary school send them to Lusher Charter School.Other Review9y ago - Check out schools near 3971 Constance St.

"This area is historic, it is diverse, it is trendy, it is ALIVE! One of the most creative, stable and beautiful areas in the city. Most of the residents have lived here for many years.. Great to Walk through the Neighorhood at any time! Awesome area, I totally enjoyed my time living there... "

"This area is very mixed and includes some very nice areas, and some less desireable areas. Closer to Magazine Street, the homes are generally more valuable and better maintained. The Magazine Street corridor offers an abundance of opportunities and distractions, as well as public transit. Since Katrina, this area has become much more desirable and has many young couples and families moving in. Sidewalks and streets gernerally are not very wheelchair friendly, so elderly and handicapped might want to consider more modern subdivisions."
