N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur child just finished Kindergarten at Doherty elementary. This school is diverse, vibrant, and truly cares about creating a safe, educational place for all the children who attend. The leadership from Principal Scott Long and the commitment to inclusive education from the teachers is superb. Parent involvement in the classrooms and at events is encouraged and welcome.Parent Review3y ago - West Bloomfield High School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school district is no longer one of the best school district for parents and students for the following reasons:1. 85% of the teachers that teach in the West Bloomfield School District do not even reside in West Bloomfield or the surrounding areas. They do not care about the best interest of the students they teach, they only care about their paycheck on pay day.2. There are too many school of choice students who are not screened properly, who are bullies, and who don't want to be educated. The students in the school district who reside in West Bloomfield are being bullied by these schools of choice students from the Elementary to the High schools. All the administration can see is receiving from the state per child money. It is not about education anymore. The school district is run like a business for money.3. The school district has the businesses in West Bloomfield pay more taxes for millages to fund the schools Businesses are not going to continue to pay extra taxes to educate children who don't reside in West Bloomfield. West Bloomfield residents need to wake up. When we eventually find out that we have to drive miles to find services because businesses begin to close then we will understand. And where does the money go? To pay for a new middle school to teach these schools of choice students. And who knows where the rest of the money has went.4. Most of the people on the West Bloomfield School board do not have children in the school district any longer, at least 90% of them, but are still making the decisions and going along with the Administration. A while ago, the school board members were parents of children that attended the school district and they had the interest in how the school district was led and run. The school board members today do not care about who leads the school district for the best interest of the students or parents. 5. West Bloomfield School District is not the school district it used to be. We had great leaders, Dr. Grechko, Dr. Faber and Dr. Andres. They all were leaders who had the families with children who attend the West Bloomfield School District in their best interest, no matter what race they were. We may need more diversity in the Administration and the staff, but that doesn't mean the school district will be better if the people we do hire do not have the students or parents' best interest at heart. -A special Education Alumni StudentOther Review1y ago - Abbott Middle School

"I have lived in this neighborhood over 30 years. It was a GREAT place to raise my daughters. Bloomfield Hills Schools are the best in Michigan. There are many new families that have moved into this desirable location (shopping, low traffic, etc.). I feel it is time for a family to enjoy this wonderful home with a large private yard ( only $25/week landscaping charge and West Bloomfield taxes), and many new improvements (roof, windows, water heater, etc.) There is even a full house generator!!"
