5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school definitely isn’t the most high-end place ever, but the staff do their best to keep up with everything. There’s a wide range of classes to choose from each year, especially after covid, there’s a lot of flexibility when it comes to completion of homework. Now, it’s a public school so I cannot say everything is wonderful, fights do happen, the lunch meals are questionable, and holding kids responsible with passes or getting to class on time isn’t heavily enforced. But the school is overall one of the better public high schools around.Student Review2y ago - Crooked Lake Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have four kids who have all attended this school. I have also spent considerable time in the school as a sub and volunteer. The teachers care about their students. The principal and other adults in the building care about and are personally involved in taking care of students (those that are misbehaving and those that need a moment and those that are high-achievers). The small size is amazing.Parent Review3y ago - Anoka Middle School For The Arts

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe teachers at this school are great! The new administration, Hagerty, is incompetent. Sudent behaviors are out of control and there is no consequences for negative behaviors. Students that excel and are respectful are ignored. For example, they are the only middle school in the district that doesn't have an academic honors ceremony for 8th grade. This was a quality school with the previous admin, but now out of control.Other Review10mo ago - Check out schools near 3801 139th Ln NW.

"This is a great place to live. many associate Andover with old cars in the yard type of neighborhoods, not so. Quite streets, beautiful walking and biking paths. horseback riding and waterpark a short biking or driving distance away."

"Bunker Hills Park is just down the road. It is 20,000 acres with a swimming area, horse stable, play grounds, walking trails, party areas that can be reserved. "

"We’ve lived in Andover for 5 years now. We love this area. It’s convenient with Target, Walmart, and lots of other close shopping (“Riverdale”) in the neighboring city. There’s plenty fast food but only a few sit down restaurants. There’s a good mix of old and new homes. Not hugely diverse but increasing over the last short years. "

"I have lived in Andover since i was in middle school, never in my life did I feel like I wasn't in a safe area. All around the clock Andover is a safe place to be no matter what time of day. kind of have to go out of your way to get to anything fun to do, but I'd rather take an extra 20-30 min drive than worry about my safety "

"Stunning wildlife! Quiet families, nature trails, lake, wetland, great schools, close shopping. We have lived in the Meadows of Round Lake neighborhood for 15 years. This was our first home purchase and we do not plan on leaving. We are between 150 acres of wetlands and Round Lake. We see many ducks in the pond... mallards, wood ducks, teal ducks, geese and the spring ducklings. In the mornings, we awake to songbirds and loon calls. During the day we see turtles big and small, assisting them across the street is a normal sight. Bird Watching you'll see a variety of songbirds, eagles, sand cranes and pheasants. At nightfall we see the white tailed deer, fox, opossum, raccoons and coyotes. At night we hear a concert of frogs, crickets, loons and a distant sound of the the Anoka High School marching band. Clear night skies are great for stargazing, meteor showers, spotting satellites and bats eating mosquitoes. Watching fireworks shows from the porch on July 4th, during the Anoka County Fair, and Anoka high school. Bike and hiking trails abound. Horseback riding trails and water wave pool at Bunker Lake State Park. Locally owned farms and farmer markets. "
