This is a "Diamond in the rough"! This historic house was previously the Brook School built in 1830. Now a residence with an expansive property, it is waiting for someone who loves a worthwhile project, history, gardening and enjoys the great outdoors. The owner was an avid gardener and a valued member of the Acton Garden Club. The school was built on Flecther St which is no longer an active street in Acton. History and location make this opportunity clear. The house is being "SOLD AS IS". Buyer and buyer's agent to do due diligence. Title V is not done and won't be done. Three total lots.

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAB has great aspects to share about them. It takes people some time to adjust to their rigorous course regimen. Some teachers are unapproachable, most are very fluid and help students to their best ability. At the core of their education, AB has very strict discipline, we rarely see students wandering off on the campuses, doing nothing. This school believes in a shared responsibility, parents too need to communicate any issues with the teachers and give an understanding and arrive at a resolution. Some students do sports and wake up till 2 Am to wrap up their home works, some wrap them up early. And the best part is that there is a very big pool of equally aspiring students supporting each other. The school has gone to significantly improve their lesson plans, eliminating unnecessary levels of courses and they are going in a better direction. Little bit more effort need to put for student success and more interaction with counsellors and Heads of Departments. All students have the same intellect, its only that some get the spark early and some cannot see an answer come through quickly and that Gap needs to be addressed effectively by improving some teaching techniques and reaching out. AB is certainly evolving in that process. Kudos to the continuous efforts of all the staff to push the students to Good Universities. I certainly would recommend AB as they are evolving in the right direction. We all need to move beyond our past and move towards betterment and AB is certainly evolving and moving towards betterment with newer and improved versions of teaching techniques.Parent Review3mo ago - Raymond J Grey Junior High School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI wish it was better - some of the teachers were great but the overall administration of the school and the district drags the good teachers down. The teachers in this district also tend to be young teachers- easier to mold to their methods instead of bringing in best practices. If your student isn't much of a "tow the line" kid - maybe a different district is a better choice.Parent Review4y ago - Merriam School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is outstanding! From the teachers to the staff, and let's not forget the Principal and Assistant Principal's dedication to the well being and success of their Families and Students. The school went above and beyond in helping us provide the best education possible to my daughter, and the best follow-ups for our family while she attended Blanchard. The administration of the school is even more efficient than the Disctrict's administration! My daughter asolutely loved her teachers and per my daughter, no bullies at the school.Parent Review1y ago - C.T. Douglas Elementary School

"It went from a farmer's / blue collar town in the 80s to a wannabe Concord / yuppie town. sonce there are so many garden-style apartments it will always be a mix of upper middle-class and regular-income people. Excellent schools and well maintained, but the yuppies can be an annoying presence."
