The campus is good. The community is good. The only problem is that students in GT (for example, me) do not get to choose GT subjects for math and history. This means we are not challenged in two important subjects. Both science and ELA are perfect, but when it comes to being mixed in with normal students the teachers have to teach at a slower pace, so we learn less. Still, the teachers are AMAZING.

As a past student, from kindergarten to 3rd grade, I attended my final year in 2019. In this year, and most previous years, I had been relentlessly bullied by peers. And, despite the many attempts of trying to get it to stop, it never ended. A lot of problems I have now root from the treatment peers gave me and teachers just went on with their days.Additionally, in 1st/2nd two kids ran out of school and only one was declared missing because her friend pointed it out. That teacher had two helpers in it and had no excuse to let two children escape school and not even notice.

I have had 2 children complete their entire high school education at Flower Mound HS. There are a lot of very bright kids there and plenty of opportunities to engage in a wide range of extra-curricular activities. Both my kids did very well, even though they were not in the top 10 percent. It can be quite competitive on many level, not just academically. This year, my children are both graduating college, one with a teaching degree and one with a medical degree. I have no regrets about sending them to FMHS.
