"I've lived here for 50 years. The character of the neighborhood has changed from owners, to renters. Nobody talks to each other anymore. Violent crimes are common. Slater Park lost all of its large animals due to neglect. The PawSox are leaving in one year. The city's largest employer - Hasbro - is leaving. The city's local hospital - Memorial - closed down 2 years ago. Famous local restaurants have mostly closed, only to be replaced by a "dollar store." The city is in serious decline, with property values certain to follow."

"People treat the streets like a personal racetrack. It's very loud here. Sometimes people bug you for cigarettes when you are trying to get to your car. Lots of illegal fireworks. It's not a dump, but it's not great either. "
