I saw where Becky Winston Williams had wrote about her special Ed kids on her Facebook page. I cant believe the school board lets her work at Apollo. If I was a parent and read this I would want her Fired !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We moved here from another state where our child was enrolled in one of the better schools in the city. However, when she started at Burns Middle, we were astounded by the positive changes we saw in her. She had more confidence both academically and socially. She truly shines thanks to the staff and faculty at BMS!

My daughter attends this school as well as my other daughter which has now moved to the middle school. My daughter is in fourth grade an has encountered numerous episodes of bullying and racial comments. All of of which are never addressed. At best they are handled by the guidance counselor. I dread everyday sending her to school and her return because I know she is going to tell me something negative occurred as well as the lack of concern for these issues from her teacher, guidance counselor and higher staff. I am disgusted. They are more concerned with a negative lunch balance than bullying and racial slurs. My daughter’s grades have declined and she hates going, which was never the case prior to this year. I feel the school has failed our family.
