6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePS212 is a great neighborhood school. It has a warm community and teachers who care. We'd send our child there again if we were to start over. However, there is one aspect of this school that is lacking: The children don't get enough recess or outdoor time because the school has limited outdoor space. I am understanding of this challenge, but I am greatly disappointed in the school's solution: They show movies in the auditorium at lunch time every single day (kids alternate between movie days and outdoor days). Kids should have playtime (in the classroom, if needed), not screen time. The movie culture extends beyond the recess hours, as well. Both specials and classroom teachers "reward" kids with movies. There is so much non-academic screen time at PS212 that I am giving it only 3 stars.Parent Review1y ago - Is 230

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this school all 3 years and the teachers are very wonderful people. I've made really strong connection with most of my teachers. I've learned a lot in this school. When the teacher notice I'm down they give me wise advice. The building is somewhat clean. They clean the bathrooms every period. The staff is very nice and helpful. I have a lot of memories in this school and I'm going to miss it a lot. I recommend it. the staff is very aware of what is happening with all the students and if something is wrong, the parents get included fast.Other Review10mo ago - Check out schools near 3217 78th Street.

"In my neighborhood, dog owners use dogs to guard the house. Dog owners like that my neighborhood have a lot of pet stores and parks such as Petco. My neighborhood doesn’t have a lot of rules when it comes to dogs, so they dog owners have a lot of freedom. Dog owners don’t like that my neighborhood is loud. Since it’s loud, the dogs like to start barking which gets very annoying."
