7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur son has special needs has been through many schools during his elementary school years. He is excelling at Copper Beech and happy to go to school for the first time. He loves all of his teachers, but his special ed teachers are especially caring and involved in his education. He had a bullying incident at one point. We weren't happy at all with how the school dealt with it (we weren't made aware of it until we saw injuries and asked), but they did respond in a way that was fair to both our son and the bully once we confronted them. We do feel like parents could be a bit more involved in the classroom. Our other son goes to a different school in Abington and parents are invited to help with parties and activities, but I've never received this type of invitation from Copper Beech. It would be nice if parents could be more involved with celebrations during school rather than just fundraisers after school.Parent Review1y ago - Abington Senior High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe school is going downhill. I have an older child who attended 9 years ago, it was much better then. Many of the students are out of control and disrespectful. I attended the move up ceremony for my son and was greatly disappointed and upset by how many of the students acted at the event. They yelled out, and some cases were screaming when their friends names were called out and mean to those who they did not like. The girl sitting behind me was snorting like a pig when a heavy set girl when up to the stage and other students laughed. Nothing was done. Many of the students were dressed inappropriately especially the girls. They wore really short revealing dresses. I cannot believe their parents let alone the school allowed that to happen. It was a nightmare. The whole middle school event. The principal did not say a word . It is obvious he has no control over the school and many of the students have lots of issues. I now understand why my son never wanted to talk about what happens at the school and why he told me he did not want to attend the ceremony. He was right we should have stayed home. I WISH I COULD AFFORD TO SEND HIM TO PRIVATE SCHOOL.Abington JUnior high was a better school when Dr. PELLEGRINO WAS THERE AND THE TEACHERS AND THE SCHOOL BOARD SUPPORTED TEACHERS AND CARED.Parent Review10mo ago - Check out schools near 319 Chelsea Ave.

"One of the last truly middle class neighborhoods of the Philadelphia suburbs. Close knit community with long standing residence oft multigenerational. Houses range from low 200s to upper 700s in 19038."

"I wish the houses had a little bit more land in between them for grass. Or of the patch of grass between the sidewalk and the curb was a little wider than they would be definitely plenty of spots for dogs to go to the bathroom. But otherwise everything’s good, almost every dog owner here picks up their poop."
