We’ve been within several schools in DPS. Academically my daughter did much better at Lincoln than her other schools. Lincoln could use more admin support for emotional/social work issues.

My child went here for 1st grade and I have never received so many calls from the nurse the whole time my kid has been going to school, she repeated sent my kid home for the slightest thing even a runny nose, there was no communication between teacher or parnet and they constantly left my son out of pictures and other things and waited until the end of the year to get my son help he needs in school I applied for a new school next year avoid the worry and don't let your kid go here

We we ensure all students demonstrate the Math and Reading growth required to attend college. We ensure all students work towards rigorous achievement targets that position them for success on the standardized tests that matter most. Each student is assigned an advisor who serves as the student's advocate and primary point of contact for families when they have questions. We also have a rich history of competitive athletic teams that regularly compete for league championships. Our staff actively works towards being the best middle school in Denver every day.

I had my reservations about sending my daughter to this school because of the 2 out of 10 it received on this website. Once I realized that the academic rating is for K-12 and that the elementary level has much better scoring than that, I felt more comfortable. A few things that I love about this school. First, my daughter is able to do dance, drama, art, and music at school. It is less time away from home in the evenings because I don't have to put her in outside classes. Secondly, the teachers at this school (speaking at the elementary level) are outstanding. I've been so impressed with their level of commitment to helping all of the children excel. My child was already reading when she started kindergarten, but they have been wonderful about differentiating for her and others, and they have a great gifted and talented teacher who works with the kids as well.Last of all, the elementary level principal is awesome! She collaborates with teachers and parents and is constantly working to improve the school (on all levels. i.e. teaching, data, culture). This school has a great community feel and gives great academic opportunities as well as art-filled experiences.

My daughter attended last year and so glad we left for another school. There are parents we talked to that still has their child going to this school and nothing has changed. New principal same result so far. Bullying is still rampant. Student body disrespectful to teachers. Per source numerous fights weekly with latest bigger kid beating up a little kid. Teacher tied to stop it, then big kid punches the teacher. Wow just wow. You can't fix bad students with parents who don't care. Sadly this school needs to consider shutting down again.

I went here as a student and let me tell you that I was not in a postive state of mind. The students here always get into fights and talk behind their friend's back. The students don't do their work and always interupt the class while the disaplence between students and teachers here suck. Bullying happens a lot here as well as racism. Personally, the last years I went here, nothing has changed other than the fact that the school is being revamped by DSST. Overall, if you want your kids to be in a peaceful state of mind, don't leave them here because it is a stressful and soul-crushing environment to be in.
