6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMe, my siblings, my friends, and even some of the staff agree that this is a bad school for overall learning and violence. The salary here is low, even though the school is newer it has constant gas leaks and water bursts that may not even get fixed for months, already creating a bad learning environment. Bullying and Equity is another big problem for this school, we've had lots of dropouts last year due to bullying and harshness of some of the staff. In all I'd say try to send your child to another school if you can, I'm glad I'm not going still, this school definitely does not "Achieve Excellence"Other Review7mo ago - Winthrop Sr High School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe Winthrop School system is not one that helps a student with autism, on an IEP since since kindergarten and have non verbal learning disability have a graduation plan. Young people that needed more time in the classroom because COVID at home learning is impossible for them are being pushed through the system and out to the world without compassion for making up the in classroom COVID time loss who needs one on one in class help daily It’s not a community that supports young people who would benefit from going above and beyond for their own special needs community.Parent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 3 Seal Harbor Rd #835.

"Great area! Its mostly quiet and you have access to all Boston has to offer. There are frequent local events outside in the summer and a lot of clubs and thing to do indoors in winter. The city center is small but it has the essentials and some nice cafes. The BBQ place does a great brunch! Plus you have ocean access! The ocean micro-climate in Winthrop means warmer winters and cooler in the summers. Nothing in life is perfect, but Winthrop comes close! "

"Commute would be better if we got a discount on the tolls. I go though Chelsea, Everett, Charlestown to get to work at TD Garden. I come home the same way which is so out of my way. To pay the Tolls it’s like another big bill on my hands. I love living in Winthrop but I’ll probably move out because of the toll’s. "
