N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. THEY ARE BETTER OFF BEING HOMESCHOOLED. TEACHERS ARE HORRIBLE. POOR COMMUNICATION SKILLS WITH PARENTS. CAN NOT HANDLE THE AMOUNT OF CHILDREN IN THE CLASSROOM. THE PRINCIPAL BRIANA CHAPIN IS A POOR EXCUSE FOR SOMEONE IN CHARGE. NOW THE SUPERINTENDENT IS A VERY VILE LOW LIFE WHO CARES ABOUT NO STUDENTS. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS THEIR PAYCHECK. IF YOUR CHILD HAS AN INTELLECTUAL DISABILITY YOU CAN GUARANTEE THEM BEING TREATED DIFFERENTLY. RUN. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN. 5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSchool 2 has become very political in my opinion. There does not seem to be a lot of teaching. Southampton School 2 has below standard goals that they fail to achieve. It is all about funding. Case in point all students now are required to go to RTI, even if they do not need it, they all have to do it. The bullying policy is not followed or backed up by teachers or staff, especially when you point out that a teacher is the source of the bullying. I have a child in school 1 and a child in school 2. We looked at our children's work throughout the year and thought the lessons were sub-par so we went and toured 3 other schools in our area this spring. I recommend that more parents should do this and look at where other schools are compared to Southampton. You will see Southampton schools are doing the bare minimum required by the state. Example: By the time a student in another school starts 6th grade they know basic American and world history as well as have firm knowledge and understanding of the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution. It is June 13 2017 and my 5th grade child knows none of it, never been taught any of it. Fact the 5th grade class is on chapter 4 of their American history book, that is teaching about native Americans. That right, chapter 4, with 7 days of school left for the year. The teachers are more interested in assigning homework and lessons they do not have to actually teach during the day. That is why we are pulling our children out of Southampton and moving them to another school. The issue is they both my children have a lot of work to do this summer to get caught up to where they need to be.Parent Review6y ago - Seneca High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSeneca HS is the least desirable HS in the Lenape District. Sports, clubs, and activities are much better at the other HSs in the district, maybe because Seneca sits in a rural area, with lower income students, and is smaller than the others. Some teachers and administration members are great, but most are there to collect a paycheck. They have been trying really hard lately to portray Seneca HS as a “family”, as a place where everyone cares about the students, but they are putting more effort into making parents/students believe the message than to actually caring for the students.If you do not fit the mold of the student they want you to be they’ll make you be miserable in this place. Also, the administration is out of sink with the students background . They ignore the values and culture of the small towns this HS serves, there is no reaching out trying to understand where the students come from.Parent Review2y ago - Check out schools near 28 Church St.
