The teachers do not care about their students please I beg of you do not send your kids here. Pick another middle school, please. 9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGreat high school. One of the best in California. Had two students recently graduate and the transition to college was easy, both scholastically and socially. A very well-balanced high school that simultaneously excels in academics, social, and athletics. Very highly recommend Torrey Pines HS.Parent Review5mo ago - Del Mar Heights Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy kids were happier in a larger school with more children to make friends with. The teachers are not better here than anywhere else and a small class size is not as beneficial as it sounds. I would recommend one of the other options in the area, just check them out. They are really nice with great teachers and amazing resources. Del Mar Hills is too small and the staff shows favoritism as much as they say they dont. Thats what made me regret sending my kids here more than anythingParent Review1y ago - Check out schools near 278 Dolphin Cove Ct.

"Old Del Mar is dog friendly and we all know each other’s dog’s names and sometimes we know their owner’s names, lol. Cars will slow for dogs being walked and I have never encountered a dog off-leash."

"I have lived and worked in the neighborhood and find Del Mar to be the best place to call home! It has possibly the nicest stretch of beach in San Diego county, has an excellent Lifeguard department and Community Services department. The Del Mar Foundation and Del Mar Village Association offer tons of fun events to partake in year round but best of all summer concerts in Powerhouse Park. The village has a plethora of top restaurants from Del Mar Pizza to Pacifica Seafood and Jake's on the beach. It is a beach town so summertime is busy with people visiting from all around the world. The Del Mar Race Track is nearby and a short drive away are area attractions such as Seaworld, San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Coronado, La Jolla, Legoland and more. "

"Stratford Ct between 4th and 6th St is very quiet but has no stores or places for kids to play. Sidewalks are discontinuous between here and town. It is at the top of a bluff overlooking the ocean, but there is no beach access due to the height of the bluff wall (~60'). The nearest beach access is several blocks away. The only traffic is local with the occasional tourist who thinks there is beach access."

"One of the best places to live anywhere if you like the classic beach community. Del Mar is a California jewell where the surf meets the turf and the fun meets the sun. This is the good life in the ultimate location, location, location."
