N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe absolutely LOVE Eastgate school and staff! They were my saving grace after my son attended another school. My son had a very hard time in two first 2 years at school. He did kindergarten twice and I was at my wits end with the public school he was attending. When we bought a home in East Helena I was considering homeschooling because I felt I had no other option. We decided to try Eastgate and they were phenomenal. My son went from crying every morning because he didn't want to go to school to being excited to go to school. His self confidence boost was amazing and he genuinely loved his teacher he still had to go by her class every time we visit to tell her hello. Mrs. Reale was a great teacher and really gave me a piece of mind knowing my son can excel in school. I can't thank them enough for putting the time and effort in that they do for each and every child. Eastgate is a great school and I am sad to say my youngest is just finishing his last year here before he attends Radley!Other Review8y ago - East Valley Middle School

"very dog friendly and helpful the neighborhood is great I wouldn't change a thing people are very friendly and helpful and I am very satisfied with the neighborhood and the dog situation plenty of places to walk them "

"Not many young children in the neighborhood. While there are leash laws many dogs are run off leash, and rarely picked up after. Cats are allowed to run free and often make use of any open patches of soil as make shift litter boxes. "

"Nice area for walking dogs. Lots of options and parts of the trail system cuts through this area. My dogs are very happy here. "

"Plenty of places to walk your dog, though few people actually seem to clean up after their animals. In certain areas this is understandable, e.g. leash free zones, but you shouldn't have to run that risk in your front yard. Largest issue I can see thus far is cat owners that allow their animals to roam. They frequent your yard, kill birds, and defecate in any loose soil they can find. Many municipalities have reasonable codes that hold ALL pet owners responsible for the animals in their care; cats are no different from dogs and should be cleaned up after and monitored."

"Although there is a leash law, some owners walk without one. Also, there is a dog-friendly trailhead nearby."
