Description

Just in time for Jazz Fest! This well-preserved Cottage sits just outside the Fairgrounds on an oversized lot. Walk to the bayou, City Park, or many of the restaurants and bars on Esplanade Avenue. A wraparound porch draws you in with its original detailed millwork throughout, perfect for entertaining guests for Jazz Fest. This 2 bedroom, 2 full bath home features wood floors throughout, soaring ceilings, original fireplace mantels, and a home office/studio with built-in cabinets. The kitchen has soapstone countertops, white cabinetry, and a vintage stove. A primary bedroom sits at the rear of the home and has an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. Nestled in the middle of the lot, the home has a sense of secret garden privacy with a large front yard and driveway. "There are plenty of opportunities for socialization here. Co-Vid 19 put a damper on things, but it is coming back...Jazz Fest literally happens in my backyard with Voo Doo Fest in my front yard yearly...We have the Mardi Gras Marathon, The 3rd of July Marine Band Concert, and numerous events every weekend from City Park Plant Sales to Hogs for a Cause to Celebration in the Oaks...but the greatest of festivals are nearly as great as an impromptu gathering of friends on the Bayou on a breezy, Sunday afternoon."
