5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is AMAZING! It is a Leader in Me Lighthouse School which is a coveted award for Leader in Me schools. This normally takes a school at least five years to earn - and this school earned this status in only three years and received recertification just this past year. They believe in student leadership and building up students to be leaders in the community. Students take an active role in clubs, morning meeting, and leadership projects. The principal is phenomenal and helps everyone in the school both staff and students to have have a culture where everyone wants to come every day. Academics are top-notch and teachers give their all to their wonderful students. The staff, faculty, and students make this school top-notch - and the parents and community gives their support in so many amazing ways. I love this school!Other Review2y ago - Sycamore Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur youngest son takes honors courses at Sycamore High and he is enrolled in upcoming dual enrollment courses. He has enjoyed his academic courses, all except one teacher and he no longer has to take a class with that instructor. He has been actively involved in Student Council and athletics and truly enjoys them. The principal has been very friendly, supportive and approachable, along with teachers, counselors, coaches, office staff and cafeteria staff. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to be actively involved in their children’s education and extracurricular activities. The surrounding community has been a wonderful place to bring up our family with opportunities to be involved in churches, sports and various community activities. We have loved living in this area and the education it has afforded our children and grandchildren.Other Review10mo ago - Check out schools near 2630 Bearwallow Rd.

"Too many animals roaming around… cats and chickens mostly. Dogs still should be leashed, if outside. "

"If I'm visiting my fiancee's family home then from there to Clarksville is 45 minutes. It's about the same in Nashville where I am. About 40 minutes. "

"I am not a parent, so I don’t feel I have anything to say in response to this question, except to say that the area of Ashland City that I live in (Sycamore Valley) is very quiet and safe with neighbors who know and look out for each other."

"I've lived on this neighborhood for almost three months and it is very quiet and family friendly. Great place to own a home in Ashland City. "

"This is still a small town but close enough to drive into the city for shopping and entertainment. The town does lack restaurants and places to shop but it’s a trade off. I like living here but growth is in the works which will destroy our small town "

"I lived here for a year now and hate it. No "southern charm" here. People are greedy and lazy, and the housing market is rediculous."

"Small town charm but growing. Beautiful scenery and waterways for camping and boating. There are walking trails and picnic areas also. Southern charm "

"It’s a small town away from the big city activities. I like that. Wildlife is present with woods and country setting. "

"I've lived here for 17 years and it's pretty cool. There are cat's that roam around but they are sweet, just don't feed them or they won't leave. "

"I live and work here. Great community. Wish we had a Lowes and a couple main chain upscale restaurants . Wouldn't change anything else. Live a rocks throw from River Bluff park and boat launching."

"I have been pleasantly surprised by the Ashland City area. Until I moved here, I knew little about it. If you work in Nashville, this is a great commute. Close to Briley Pkwy., but off the commuter path. Affordable housing close to recreation. Lots of friendly people and grocery shopping. "
