9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageBHS admin, like others, is weak when it comes to "good kids" not living up to their potential and who get restless in 11th and 12th grade and start screwing up. They don't refer them (they likely can't) to an options school where the students would do far better because there's not 3k other students to deal with. Kids can miss mega classes and the teachers and admin won't contact the parents. You're on your own as a parent. You go to the school, demand they even follow their own policy when needed, and you, as the parent, are the bad guy. Pathetic. Maybe it's the, what, 50% or 60% demographic group that is the focus of admin. I don't know. Just know your kid ain't nothin' but a number here now matter what goes on the flashing marquee sign facing Office Depot in the coming months.Parent Review6y ago - Luther Burbank Middle School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school sucks, never coming back ever. The kids there are so rude and they judge you for every little thing, and the school says they have 0 tolerance for bullying yet when you tell them about it they don't even do anything about it.Student Review4mo ago - George Washington Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe nearly didn't attend this school, as it was rated only a "five" on this site back in 2015, compared with an eight rating of the school up the hill that we were lottery-accepted in to. However, it was my impression that the race and socio-economic diversity was high at GWE, and that was one reason I personally was happy for my daughter to attend this school. For five years here, my daughter has been able to draw from positive attention from teachers and other faculty, while forging a good social-framework to adapt to the trials of middle school in the upcoming year.If you are a parent who is researching a school down to these sorts of details, I can almost assure you that your child's standardized test scores are going to be at the higher numbers. While attending GWE, my daughter hit the highest levels of results, and I'm far from being a helicopter or tiger dad. I simply want my daughter to grow, learn, to become passionate about learning, and to wise to the uncertainties in life. Attending this school did an amazing job at helping her to move along this path.Parent Review3y ago - Check out schools near 2569 N Lincoln St.

"Sometimes people don’t pick up after their dogs which gives dog owners a bad name. There are a lot of friendly dogs around but it’s the owners that are sometimes not being responsible about not throwing their dog’s trash in a trash can "

"The commute is pretty easy. A little congestion during the rush hour times but any time past 9pm there is little to no traffic "

"Traffic is not too bad most of the time and I can get to and from work on average in about 20 minutes"

"The drivers are a little crazy so keep your kids tightly in hand. The community is beautiful and businesses are all very personable. We have felt like neighbors rather than tourists. "

"The thing that makes this community is the actual sense of community which is hard to come by in LA County. I think people feel this and strive to meet those ends "

"Ummm there are film studios near by and ummmm a lot of Armenian pride. It’s safer I guess than some other LA area neighborhoods. It’s kinda central to lots of other areas. "

"The neighborhood is extremely dog friendly. I always see people walking there dogs in the mornings and evenings. There are a couple of parks near by that are dog friendly. Then only problem is being out to look late and the coyotes are around. Everyone with a small dog knows not to leave them outside and also don't take them out for late night walks."

"Safe, nerdy, and lots of delicious food. There's also an arcade at the mall! Wish there were more shopping on the non-mall end of San Fernando though. it's mostly food now. Some activities would be nice too. But groceries, pharmacy, nice neighbors! It's a lovely place to live."

Downtown Burbank is great and has tons of yummy restaurants. Also close to all the major studios so the entertainment and art feel about the whole area is pretty spot on! Great schools too! "
