5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was a student at Benjamin Franklin. I started at this school when I was in Pre-K, and I am now in the 9th grade at Lusher School. When I attended this school before Hurricane Katrina it was a magnet school meaning you had to take a test. After Katrina the school was obliged to allow any student in without taking a test. The teachers at Benjamin Franklin do not care about the child's education, they do not have a great disciplinary system at all and they just student do whatever they choose at this school. That is why I decided to leave for 8th grade at Lusher School. I will say that the only good thing about Benjamin Franklin is that it goes from Pre-K to 8th grade. I f you want your child to go to an extraordinary school send them to Lusher Charter School.Other Review9y ago - Check out schools near 2500 Myrtle St.

"Gentilly is very diverse, doesn’t flood (for the most part), and has some of the last affordable houses in New Orleans (and most of the houses have original hardwood floors 😻). A lot of my friends who range from late 20’s to early 40’s are buying here. The only thing we’re lacking is a bar and restaurant scene. Someone please give us more food and alcohol options! "
- Aslanat

"There is no park close enough to walk to. There are lots of dogs in the neighborhood. If your dog barks at other dogs this will be a lot of trouble."

"There are a lot of dog owners in this neighborhood, and many of the houses have great yards. We are close enough to the lakefront to take our dog out there almost everyday. My dog loves living here"
