All the Grosse Pointe District Schools offer a great education under caring and intelligent teachers, but Brownell stands out with an atmosphere of progressiveness, inclusion, engagement and caring. My son really progressed socially and intellectually at this school and several years later continues to thrive. WARNING TO PARENTS: advanced coursework isn't the old stuff we learned. 4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWow- I feel so lucky to have found this school! The teachers are amazing and truly care about the students. I really appreciate that its not just about test scores- that the whole child matters- including being kind to others. They also have the the Leader in Me program which I am very impressed with and Spanish is started in 3rd grade. "So many other dogs! Makes my dog go crazy on walks. Lots of places to walk. Some businesses even have dog hookups so you can go inside while your pup hangs out outside safely. "
