10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school seemed to judge parents very harshly and preemptively . They for some reason assumed we were poor . They treated me and my brother who helped me care for my nonverbal autistic child like we weren’t good enough for my child to attend school there . They tried to make it seem like my child’s issues with not wanting to go to school at any cost was neglect on our part when it was a huge safety issue. He would physically fight and scream for hours about getting dressed for school or walking out the front door for school. We would have to carry him naked to the car wrapped in a blanket on the days he didn’t hurt us too bad in trying . He would get out of his car seat to try and grab the steering wheel to turn the car around , and then he would back up and flinch everytime an aid from the classroom would come to get him from the front office . They would stare in the front office with dirty looks the whole time and constantly misjudge us and thought we were just neglectful and poor which could not be further from the truth . I hired two people in two years to drive him to school thinking he had separation anxiety and they both quit within 3 months because he did the same thing to them as he did to us . I explained this to the school over and over and they didn’t care they just cared about their attendance numbers and my child was just another number on a spreadsheet . If you don’t tick all their boxes or if they think you don’t have money then you don’t belong there . I never gave them any indication I was poor or low income I always sent him with his own lunch , he rarely wore the same thing twice , and we always tried to donate to the class whenever we could . They treated us like we needed charity . I’ve never been treated like that before and anyone who actually knows me knows I’m not poor so the only explanation would be their presumptions and assumptions. I don’t trust them and this school used to be highly rated but it’s run by some really uptight people who need to start caring about children more than their need to make it seem like an uptight highest standard boarding school for the most prestige and wealthy families .Parent Review8mo ago - Check out schools near 230 Alexander Blvd.
