4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur school is a K-6 elementary school. 2 years ago, due to funding, several our "neighborhood" schools were closed, forcing Central to become the "in town" school. It was quite a change for all of us, as we were used to smaller classrooms, more one-on-one between teachers and students, and overall, a huge shift in thinking. Central rose to the challenge and has made this transition for my child, and the 100 other students who were new to the school, a wonderful experience. The teaching staff is amazing, and have welcomed teachers from the other schools. My daughter, who has always loved school, and has been a strong student, is growing in ways we had never imagined. She began archery, as it was an activity her gym teacher has excelled in, and has introduced the students to. She now shoots on a regular basis, and loves it! Last year, her teacher asked our daughter to participate in a talent show with her, and they tap danced to "Me and my Shadow" to the delight of the entire school. Every student has that relationship with the staff. They have been amazing, and have taken what could have been a very bad situation, and turned it into an exceptional one. Cudos to Central!!Parent Review10y ago - Franklin Area Middle School
