4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePS 291 is a great school with excellent teachers. My daughter loves it, and is very happy to stay for the 5th grade. As a parent, I couldn't be more proud for my daugther to attend this school. I feel welcome every time I go or I call the school. The staffs are a great plus to the school. It feels like a family seem the same teachers since Kindergarten. Wonderful School.Parent Review10y ago - Theatre Arts Production Company School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI'll make this short and simple, the school is trash. DO NOT send your children here. They don't care about the students unless they have good grades and offer no support they won't even let seniors with an average below 85 apply to SUNYS because they don't think it's worth it. They have a mice problem and had a shooting outside of the school. They barely teach the kids anything at all and never ever try and reach out to them or their parents. overall this school is a 0/10 and I would not recommend it.Parent Review2y ago - Creston Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers work so well together and focus on Restorative Justice Approach and mediation with students. There's great team work between the staff and also together with the children. One area that we need to improve on as a school community is parental involvement. However, we've been working hard on bringing more parents into the school such hosting monthly meetings with the principal for parents (Tea with the Principal, for example). It's important for schools and homes to work together for the success of each child. Overall, I enjoy working here at EFAA and every year just keeps getting better and better!Teacher Review6y ago - Academy for Personal Leadership and Excellence

"This area is very nice. I live in Fordham Terrace., until you walk across University into Fordham. Then youll see a lot of activity you may not be comfortable with. There are a lot of Hills and Parks. The major shopping areas are Fordham and Riverdale. Fordham has more of the major stores. But if you want to avoid a lot of traffic and lessen you chance of getting mugged you might want shop on Riverdale. "
