6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThere are some good teachers, still genuinely interested in the child and are dedicated to teaching them. I think most at this school, however, are more interested in the paycheck and need to be let go. The parents are not welcome in school and the bad attitude of the office staff makes this school about as friendly as an enema. Just try to meet with a teacher after class, I dare you! The teachers are gone minutes after the last kid leaves. I have very frequently had my child to school before the teacher in the morning. The only redeeming quality of the school is the special needs dept that actually does a great job. They only need better communication as to the weekly progress and they'd be better (they are the second star in this rating)Parent Review8y ago - Lincoln Street Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs a student who recently graduated from this school (graduated 8th grade), entering high school next year, I must say Waverly Middle School is FABULOUS! I strongly disagree with the other reviews, which are very outdated. College and workforce readiness is stressed at this school regardless of your desired pathway in life. This school offers very advanced coursework, such as Living Environment/Biology, Global History & Geography 1, Algebra 1, and other courses in the 8th grade, as these courses are typically adminsitered to high school freshmen. This school supported me every step of the way. The teachers here are 100% amazing and very valuable members of the public schol system, who are very hardworking. This school tries their absolute best to help each and every student succeed, no matter their abilities. Bullying is very uncommon at this school, and to those who have been bullied, I would ask them to reach out to the wondeful Principal, Assistant Principal, Guidance counselor, or even Family/Student Advisor (not to mention, their administration is great). I would even go as far to say this district and school are the best in the county. Therefore, if you are looking for a welcoming school with excellent teachers, administration, and opportunities, I would STRONGLY reccomend Waverly Middle School/Wavelry Central School District!!!!!Other Review10mo ago - Check out schools near 220 William St #1.

"if you are looking for a place for something with kids to do I would not recommend moving here, we have 2 parks and 2 school play grounds and little league or small fry event but other than that nothing we do have a movie theater in Sayre PA but really there isn't much for a family with young children to do!"
