1/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers are very dedicated. Good students, just sometimes from difficult backgrounds dealing with teenage or family circumstances. School leadership can be good, but they lack the support from district in handling things appropriately. Can be a great school, but lacks the consistency to do so. Plus, there are a few teachers you just have to shack your head at because they probably can’t even handle their own kids. It really is a Stanton family though. If your student is going here, just know they will be loved and cared for!Teacher Review1y ago - McKean (Thomas) High School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI enjoyed my time there while I was there because I made plenty of friends and success was easy to find. During my senior year and during university I realized how poorly the school had prepared me for college. College bound students for any intense careers, such as medicine. The college bound students coming from McKean are not put into the best spots. AP courses are offered but not as many as should be. Overall the schools good if your just looking to get your diploma and have some fun.Other Review5y ago - Check out schools near 2106 Holborn Rd.

"We do a lot of can drives this time of year for the needy families. Around Christmas we take a collection at the school for non-perishable foods and any toys that can afford to be donated to help give needy the families Christmas dinner and their children a gift under the tree. Just because the family feel down on their luck, children shouldn’t be robbed of the magic of Christmas. "

"I've lived on this block for almost 6 years now. For the most part, it is a quiet block with older residents who are retired, a few younger couples that work and maintain our respectable area. Traffic tends to be challenging due to its relative location in downtown Wilmington, however this is minor compared to the conditions of some areas within a half of a square mile. Neighbors are friendly and we look out for each other."
