8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagethe school is ok, my daughter started school and was not aknowledged at all by her school teacher who called her serah which clearly was not her name, my daughter was excited to be introduced to her class and to get to know the other children and their names in hopes someone would play with her so she wouldn’t feel so alone but felt very alone and left out as the teacher carried on as if she did not exist. come roll call and my daughters name was not even on the roll, i adked the teacher why that is and she said it takes few days for the them to add my daughters name on to their roll, so i went to the office and caroline in reception said “she has to physically see my daughter” in order for her to be added to the roll, i have mever heard of that before. then she continued to say to dont worry she knows how to do her job and asked me for the blue form as she does not have a any more copies, i told her i will bring it in after school. the worst first day for both i and my daughter. what if there is a fire ? and my daughters name was not on the roll? i was not informed that she had to physically see my daughter before she started school , lastweek we went in for her school visit and we were told we dont need to come to the office just go straight to class and we did the same today and now she has to see my daughter hysically before she can be on a roll ? i came home and phones Maria the DP and she said that shouldn’t have happened like that and she will get the DP Siohane incharge of my daughters year level to contact me, she contacted me and adviced me my daughter was fine , i told her how my daughter had cried not wanting us to leavr and she said that’s normal, i said no it is not normal! my girls never cry for us when we take them to school but because she was aknowledged and introduced to her class she felt left out anddidnt want to be here ! then she said oh. i then asked if we had to be at the office physically for Caroline to see my daughter before my daughters name could be added to their roll and she said yes it is by law? i said why is it not like that at my daughters old school , the children start and their names are already on the roll ready for the class and the teacher is aware, she said every school is different, i said “but you just said its by law that Caroline had to physically see my daughter before her name can be added to the roll”, no the best experience for us at all .Parent Review1y ago - South Middle School

2/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Average0/10.......WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANY SCHOOL IN THIS DISTRICT!! ESPECIALLY South Middle School!! If your child is not black, hispanic, a mixture of either, they are NEVER heard! These scumbags ACTIVELY work to vilify any child with special needs, children that are bullied on a daily basis and children who are just in general 'different' than the weapon toting demographic. Would NEVER in my life recommend torturing your children by sending them here.Parent Review1y ago - Newburgh Prep Charter High School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAmazing. The small enviroment promotes idividualism and the students get a much better chance at recieving one on one help with a teacher. I've seen many young adults who have previously dropped out of high school attend Newburgh Prep and achieve success. With perhaps the best and defintely the kindest teachers and staff in the area, these people really do care about helping students shape their futures and improving the community aw a whole.Other Review9y ago - Check out schools near 205 Quassaick Ave.

"New Windsor is a great location to live and have children. The school district is great, a lot of local stores and parks, and a lot of military personal because of West Point. The downfall is Middletown and Newburgh aren’t too far from it, and both towns have a high crime rate."

"Newwindsor is a great place to live in honestly. I say this because it is safe and quiet. Not much going on in this small town. This is a very boring place to stay. I happen to live in the heart of newwindsor close to butter hill and even then not much goes down. Also dont be surprised if there is a deer in your backyard."
