5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageFantastic elementary school with wonderful caring teachers! Our daughter excelled, even through COVID. The teachers adapted quickly and provided quality education/learnings remotely effectively and efficiently. Every teacher our daughter had kept us well informed of her progress and provided necessary tools to help us when we needed to help our daughter at home with content. We would highly recommend this school. -- Just don't send the students on to NAMS next door -- all that wonderful learnings from Balfour goes down the drain if they enter there. Don't NOT recommend NAMS!Parent Review2y ago - North Asheboro Middle School

"It’s a rural area. It’s very private and there are hardly any children.Low crime area. No playgrounds. However, there is a full sized unground pool that is privately owned that you pay membership fee 1 time every year at pool opening. Afterwards there is no fee to be charged for the remainder of the summer and a lifeguard is present at all times when pool is open."
