6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have been going through many health issues, and the entire time I have been here, they have been nothing but rude to me. The school nurse has turned down my doctors' notes and has refused to excuse my absences, despite the fact that one of them was listed as a procedure. I have had a recent incident with my history teacher where he berated me about why I've missed so much school and haven't been able to catch up on work. I had tried to explain that I have multiple chronic illnesses but he kept asking questions. Let this be a reminder to those who don't know: No teacher has any legal right to ask about what your health/medical conditions are. The only ones who have that right are the main office and above. Otherwise, don't feel pressured to tell a teacher anything. I'll be moving online next year as this school has done nothing to help me keep up with my work. I only have three teachers who are actually kind and understand that I'm not always able to catch up. I wish I had just stuck to online instead of going back to in-person school.Student Review2y ago - Plymouth South Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe recently moved to Redbrook in Plymouth. Our child started kindergarten at South this year. I’m beyond impressed with the school, staff, and special education team. My child is in a general education classroom but has some accommodations per her IEP. I’ve been very very happy with the Principal, assistant principal, special education teachers, and staff in general. My child loves her teacher. The staff all warmly greet the kids each day. The community is wonderful and I’ve seen many of the older kids be super welcoming and helpful to the young kindergarten kids. We have moved a lot and have come from other school systems. Don’t let this “low” score on a website fool you. Schools are so much more that standardized tests. The staff is amazing and they truly care about the kids. All of my questions and concerns in terms of my child’s IEP etc have been met with open ears and willing hands. If you are a young family looking in this area just know that it’s a wonderful place to live and send your kids to school.Parent Review3y ago - Check out schools near 20 Skylark Ave #1.
