9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagei graduated here in 2020 and im disappointed at how this school turned out to be since I left. the level of disrespect the students are withholding is skyrocketing.when I was here i got shoved in the hallway because apparently I was getting crowded by everyone else around me and the school fails to address such behavior that doesn't live up to a safe and professional setting standard that I kinda wish existed in mustang. i expected better from this school, especially since its been 3 years since I graduated here and nothings been done to help address rude behavior. these issues have been resurfacing from time to time, especially from my siblings that currently go there, and it saddens me to see them upset like this. if you are a parent/guardian of a child in mustang please talk to your child about how they feel and what they've experienced. some rules and regulations are not stiff enough and people continue to bypass the rules thinking that they wont get caught and that's not okay. i hope that this raises awareness of anyone who plan on going to mustang or is currently in mustang. thank youOther Review5mo ago - Mustang Middle School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI moved into this district for this school. I had heard good things about it. I have since began to regret that decision. My child is in the lower grades ( I do not wish to specify here). The beginning of the year was pure chaos. Parental directions on such things as pickup, signing folders, events, was cloudy at best. The lack of clarity in communications has made it difficult to effectively navigate the school year. I receive consistent communication, it just lacks in details that I feel is important "Bronco boogie date. We will be reciting lines and a song in front of the school." Bronco Boogie something you do regularly? Can parents come? I did the cookie dough fundraiser this year. I didn't know when the pickup was until I got a text at 3:15 from the teacher "Pick up today from 3-6". Well, I work and can't leave on such short notice. I picked up my order the next day. It was supposed to be frozen, but was left in the office to thaw. The most distressing thing has been the cliques and lack of inclusion. I have always been active in my child's education. I was hoping to be a homeroom helper or involved in the PTA. I volunteered on field trips to be assigned no groups, just my daughter. The homeroom mom in apparently the teacher's BFF and involves no one in the planning, just request parents to bring items she deems necessary for the party. I paid the PTA dues, but never received any information on any of the meetings. I started following the PTA facebook page, just to have a clue as to what was going on. The older women in the office are always talking about someone when I'm in there. If you're looking for a warm, inviting school to be active in your child's education, this is not it unless you have an "in" that I'm unaware of. My child tested at or just below average for sight words. I knew it was eventually going to "click" and it has. But until this happened, I didn't want to ruin the enjoyment of reading in order to memorize sight words. My teacher conference was about my child being just average. When I asked about social skills, ability to listen and follow directions, I got "oh, that's great". I felt like I was forcing her to say something nice. We are looking at our options to transfer out next year. Good thing I bought a house...Parent Review6y ago - Mustang Horizon Ies

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMustang school district is declining as a whole due to mismanagement and waste. It is apparent when the district has dozens of administrators, assistant superintendents, and managers but still fail to provide any leadership or management at their schools. My son attended horizon and was assaulted by another student during their mid-day lunch break. I wasn't notified until my son got off the bus with his face scratched, swollen, and bloody. When I confronted the teachers and one of the assistant principles, the teacher involved flat out lied to cover her self in front of my son. When I questioned her further using a logic process that she couldn't lie her way out of, another teacher stepped in basically told us everything is fine and a report has been filed. Ten minutes later I walked into the office and found the two teachers filling out the incident report they said was completed "right away after it happened" and no one including the assistant principle saw a problem with this. This shows the lack of integrity and common sense of the teachers and administration at Mustang School District.Parent Review9y ago - Check out schools near 1917 Hunters Spring Way.

"Really friendly, barely any crime and it’s mostly nonviolent, and plenty of food options. Churches on every corner of all denominations. Houses are all well maintained family homes. School is large with lots of activities available. Local community center with low price for entry. Local garden located at the community center. "

"I have lived in the neighborhood for four and a half years. Everyone I talked to has been pleasant. I just wish that the street was a little bit wider and people would not park in front of my yard or driveway. Also, I wish people would not park directly across from driveways because several people have backed in to those cars as they pull out of their driveway. When they park directly across from your driveway especially when it's dark it's hard to see those cars and even harder to see them if they are dark colored car. Other that that I think the neighborhood and the people are great."

"VERY safe and quiet area with a large number of very friendly retirees in the neighborhood keeping an eye on things. Right in the heart of Mustang with extremely easy access to the highway."
