9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school does not take good care of their students many of the teachers there are rude and talk very crazy to students. This school does not take school threats as seriously as they should. The classrooms are very small I had to suffer and fail chemistry honors because all the regular chem classes were full and I had to take it that year. Many of the teachers punished you when you were away because of sickness, sports, family, etc etc. The new principle has already enforced rules that are against girls; low rise jeans, shirts, sweats, pj pants, crop tops, halter tops, jewelry, and etc etc. I feel yes there should be a dress code to an extent you are basically telling girls they have to cover up to not distract other classmates, ALSO NO TANK TOPS IN SUMMER. The new principle and dress code is just a bunch of sexism which I do not think is fair. The average students at this school are very overlooked. 8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have had my children and other family members attend BVHS. Wonderful caring teachers, incredible and very involved Principal and admin. Athletics are very good, with both female and male sports inclusive and successful. More than half the student body plays a sports at the school. Band, Music Machine, Dance Team, Sports Medicine program, BVTV, IB/AP classes are some other amazing programs offered. We have known many students involved in a variety of these activities, all have had great experiences. We are lucky to have this school in our community.I also read some other reviews and felt compelled to write about our personal experiences. There are always kids and parents who don’t have as good of an experience. I have noticed less involved parents/kids in general in society…who like to blame others and not take accountability. Too much racial tension between students and adults on campus seemingly blames the Black kids, especially the boys. Fights are almost every day and being recorded and shared on social media sites, drugs are sold on campus by certain kids. Drugs are shared on campus by certain kids.
