Description
The attractive stone entry at Beacon Ridge reflects the quality, high-end homes that have been built in this new, up-and-coming neighborhood. Bring your own builder, or consider a custom-built home constructed by Paul Sharon of PAS Construction LLC. Paul is a skilled and experienced builder whose standards exceed current building codes. PAS Construction builds homes that are beautiful, and distinctive. Their homes feature many energy-efficient systems including high-efficiency Mitsubishi heat pumps that are effective to -20°F below zero; whole-house energy recovery ventilation systems (ERV) to ensure fresh air exchange; and solar/net zero options. East Brunswick is Mid Coast Maine's best-kept secret. Live here and enjoy the best of both worlds, living within walking distance to Thomas Point Beach, and near Cook's Corner. Cook's Corner is a vibrant area that benefits from a considerable amount of recent development and growth, including Brunswick Landing's thriving enterprises; restaurants; shopping; an Executive Airport; Mid Coast Hospital; and Bath Iron Works. The iconic Maine coast/Harpswell islands are located a short distance to the south on Route 24; and the artsy, cool city of Bath is only 7 miles heading down east. Beacon Ridge is approximately 3.5 miles to Bowdoin College; the train station; and all that downtown Brunswick has to offer. Thirty-five minutes to Portland. Central to Augusta and L/A, as well. A great location! Note: modular homes are not permitted.

"I’ve lived here for over a year and have always felt very safe, even when walking my dog late nights"
- Tristan

"There is no unsafe area of Brunswick. I have taken late night walks with my dog downtown almost every night for the last year and have never seen something that made me feel in danger. "

"Dogs are welcome. People are always walking them and always cleaning up after their own. This neighborhood has mainly lap sized dogs."

"I’ve lived here for three years. At first I wasn’t happy because it wasn’t my choice to live here. But after about two year of living here, I have fallen in love with this small town. I feel safe and I am able to walk around at 3 am with no worries. I love to explore. I always seem to be discovering new nooks and crannies everyday. There’s always something new, even when I feel like I have seen it all. The restaurants are nice and the people are usually lovely. Little Tokyo is something you must try while you are here! (As long as you’re a Japanese food lover) If you are deciding on coming to Brunswick, I say go for it. It will be worth your while."

"This is a family friendly neighborhood, great bike trails down the street, walking distance to town, access to Bowdoin College."

"Walking your dog in the neighborhood is a wonderful way to visit with your neighbors. There are very few cars so most of the time you can just walk in the road. Everyone picks up after their dogs."
- Bdebasitis

"I have no children, but schools seem good. The Rec center has many summer and winter programs. Apparently, I need to write more to have my comments accepted."
- Katie W.

"For some reason we have a lot of traffic in our neighborhood, but otherwise, it's lovely. Also, Coffin School is great but looks rundown - they have a great head teacher and they put the interests of the kids first. HBS is more rule oriented and is far too big for an elementary."
- Cathy C.

"Close to everything, yet very peaceful, mature neighborhood. Elementary and Junior High schools are a few minutes walk from the house. High school is less than 2 miles, with bus stop 2 houses down. Police, fire, groceries, train and bus stations are all within 1 mile. "

"Near great restaurants. Walk to Amatos. 2 hospitals nearby. Bowdoin College campus and the Maine State Music Theatre. Amtrack Downeaster free long term parking. Near the ocean."
- Jane U.

"The houses are not close together because of the large lots so there is a spacious feeling. There are many trees and greenery. The traffic is minimal because there are no major thoroughfares and no reason to go to this neighborhood unless you live there. There are very good public schools easy to walk to or ride a bike: elementary, middle and jr.high. Bowdoin College adjoins this neighborhood."
