N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSadly, this school put my child with special needs in danger and then completely abandoned her. This was our home district and we were happy to get my children into what we thought was a kind and inclusive school community. The problem at Miles wasn't the teachers, they are caring and creative, the problem is poor resources and ineffective and inflexible administration. The district will try to get out of paying anything they can for students with special needs. I had a letter documenting my child's need for an aide from her developmental pediatrician and they had the data from the school showing she clearly needed 1:1 support but they still would not provide it due to the cost. When my 5 year old got away from her teacher who was in charge of a whole kindergarten class and ran into a busy street they finally recognized that she needed some aide support. That was several months into the year when she had already been endangered by their reckless policies. Then when school went to online only in March 2020 and my 6 year old child with special needs could not learn that way, admin just gave up and refused to educate her. They would not bring her in for tutoring or any services, nothing, even though her special ed teacher recognized that she could not learn online and wanted to teach her in person and felt she could do it safely, admin refused and completely abandoned her. The school has remained shuttered for an entire year now, 12 months, to students who desperately needed in person education, what a travesty, I feel terribly for any students stuck in TUSD who needed in person education and have list out on so much. I am so incredibly thankful we got our kids into CFSD, they are doing an excellent job educating all children safely even during a challenging year and are a much more welcoming and inclusive community!Parent Review3y ago - Robison Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePeople may view this school as a bad school but it’s actually one of bests high schools in the district with rich history to this day , yes people may complain and may say it’s the worst school and put a bad name for it but I’m sorry to say this school is not gonna be the best for everyone entirely but it offers ranges of different studies classes and is known for the massive fine arts and best sciences in the district, the community of people here is really rich in diversity and people get along really well yes there’s been some incidents where people didn’t quite get along but keep in mind bad apples we everywhere not just here and this is a school of nearly 4000 students , if your quite extroverted and can be on task with the assignments then this school is just right for you , if you are quiet and a bit of a slow learner and don’t ask for help or take opportunities when given to you then this school probably is not the best fit for you , But In all means Tucson high Magnet School is family and I’ve grown really attached to the community here I love it so much . -junior class student.Student Review7mo ago - University High School

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school sets you up well for the future with a great counseling department and effective teachers. Yes, there is a hefty workload, but this is communicated to incoming students before they enroll. It has a good environment and a helpful staff. If a student can stick with it and get through their freshman year, I can guarantee they will be successful through their high-school career and beyond.Other Review2y ago - Catalina Online Learning Experience

"Julia Keen is one of the most racially and ethnically diverse neighborhoods in all of Tucson. We interact and get along very well. It's a well established neighborhood with many long term residents. We are just south of Reid Park and Zoo which is the largest and nicest park in all of Tucson yet Julia Keen is far more affordable than the other neighborhoods adjoining Reid Park to its north, east, and west. We're far more diverse than those neighborhoods which better reflects the Tucson's culture and population. "

"I've had nothing but horrible experiences with this neighborhood. The neighbors called the cops on us just for looking at a home from the street. They constantly cause problems and neighborhood drama for absolutely no reason. Sad part is it's more then three different neighbors. If you want some privacy STAY AWAY!"

"I bought a house in 2010, then moved to Texas for 4 years in 2012. I missed this neighborhood all that time, and when I had the opportunity to come back, I did. This neighborhood is safe, quiet and just the right distance (not too close, not too far) from downtown, the campus, Davis-Monthan and of course all the lovely wilderness. My neighbors are friendly, and look out for each other, and many are log term. The neighborhood is diverse and welcoming. A great place if you speak English or Spanish or both! I am from California and my wife is from Mexico. We have two dogs spend a lot of time in the yard and at Reid Park. Neither of us have ever felt unsafe or unwelcome. And yet with all of this, the neighborhood remains very affordable. I would like to see a coffee shop, but other than that, I believe Julia Keen neighborhood is a hidden treasure. I hope it stays that way!"

"I bought my home here in 2010 and the neighborhood has gotten better every year. Many diverse young families are moving in, taking advantage of the lower prices and great opportunities to bring solid old houses back to life. Most of the homes are well kept and many yards are very nicely maintained. Many people are putting a lot into curb appeal and xeriscaping. Buying in this neighborhood is the best decision I have ever made!"

"I used to live here. Just a few blocks from the park (with two dog parks), bandstand, zoo, golf course, rose garden...All walking distance. On the other side of the golf course is the El Con mall. Banking, shopping, dining, Target, Home Depot (my favorite) and lots of specialty shops. Close to downtown, close to the Air Force base. Mellow neighborhood. "
