7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe worst feeling in the world is having to feel like you failed as a parent advocating for your child!! If your child has an IEP don’t send them to Arthur W. Edwards Elementary School Especially if they are in kindergarten and first grade, they DO NOT HAVE A CERTIFIED EC TEACHER IN THAT CLASS! They have a “long term substitute” that does not know how to handle and is NOT trained to handle EC children!!!!My child started that school 3 years ago, repeated kindergarten and now in first grade and is now academically behind at a pre-k level. After his first year of kindergarten I had to home school him for the first half to at least catch him up on being able to spell his name to being able to point out letters and tell you the sounds. You know things he should have at least learned in his first year of kindergarten being EC. After his most recent psychological evaluation done at the school his results came back as being at a 4 year old level! A child that should be in 2nd grade but understandably is not because of his IEP. Entering a school with an IEP of 14 months behind normal age group cognitively, to 3 years later ending up with being 48 months behind academically. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO THAT SCHOOL!!! Craven County Schools Thanks for making me feel like the worst parent in the world!!!Parent Review1y ago - Craven Early College High

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageECE is an amazing school and an excellent opportunity for eager-to-succeed students. The teachers are great. Communication is on point. Family involvement is mandatory, which I love. I am so glad my son had the chance to take on this challenge, and it is so won't to watch him continue to work hard and thrive. It's not a walk in the park, but it is so worth it.Parent Review4mo ago - Check out schools near 175 Hazeldale Ln.

"We have a great neighborhood made up of neighbors who care. During the hurricane people who stayed walked around to watch and check on other people’s houses, organized support to help clean up homes and yards, and kept neighbors informed of opportunities for support or assistance. Just a safe, friendly, supportive neighborhood to live in! "
