We absolutely love Afton Elementary!! They really do care about the children and also about their families!! We moved up here in December of 2018 my granddaughter at the time was in a Philadelphia Elementary school. It was like pulling teeth trying to get their attention , trying to get help, trying to have your child's needs met! at that point I thought it was normal until we transferred her into Afton 2 months before second grade ended in 2019. Within "2 weeks" of transferring to Afton it was as if a light switch was flipped on!!! They really care about the children & are absolutely wonderful teachers! She just graduated 5th grade there this past summer and is now entering Middle School and she is driving and she is well balanced and I honestly believe the teachers at Afton Elementary absolutely prepared her and gave her the mental tools she needed to be able to drive and socialize and want to go to school! She loves school and it's because of after that elementary! I recommend this school highly! it's the top of my list in Bucks County! I've never given a review on anything before but this is worth doing

The rating given by this site of 5/10 is highly biased, inaccurate, and misleading. Eleanor Roosevelt is precisely where you want your kids to attend school. Every teacher I have ever interacted with is fully committed to maximizing each and every student's potential. Mrs. Follman is equally dedicated to every member of the faculty as well as the students and parents. There is no other school I would want my children to attend. Mrs. Toledano made my daughter love going to school each and every day, as well as all of the others. I can not thank Mrs. Follman and her faculty enough for their contribution to our children's future.

My children have enjoyed going to William Penn. The classes have been challenging and we worked with the schools on both an IEP (ADHD) and a GIEP (gifted). I feel that the school has worked with us to insure our children have what they need to succeed. Lots of wonderful after school programs and great music and drama programs. My only criticism is that communication is incredibly scattered -- different apps and methods between classes, poor communication home about extracurriculars, but terrific involvement related to COVID and big school news. Wish it were more even across the whole spectrum of communications. The virtual school program has been wonderful for my daughter -- art projects sent home to complete, computer needs met, it is nice to hear the teachers being so upbeat and working so hard to engage the kids. Very happy with this school.

For a middle school, Pennwood is a happy and safe place. My children had a good experience here. Academics are sound. The principal runs a tight ship, which has its good and bad aspects. I Extracurriculars are somewhat lacking, and I had no success trying to get the school to participate in an academic competition that was important to my child. Another Pennsbury middle school did participate.

The entire PENNSBURY district is far superior to any school and it's the Teachers that make it that way.
