7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy child is academically gifted and unfortunately in the elementary segment of the Riverhead School District, this is not an area that is focused on at all. Throughout the five years he spent at Aquebogue (K-4), in spite of the lack of a formal program to accommodate his "special needs", the staff informally pulled together throughout his tenor to provide him with a more challenging education. I consider this above and beyond.Parent Review12y ago - Pulaski Street Elementary School

3/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis is a school with ZERO discipline, the kids are allowed to run the asylum and often times bullying, foul language in classrooms, and poor behavior goes unpunished but not unnoticed.Parent Review6y ago - Riverhead Middle School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school is horrible. No one actually gets alongthe school doesn't seem to care about the studentsafety unless the board of education getsinvolved. Honestly just don't go here it's horrible.Plus the amount of threats the schools gets isterrible. And the psychologist at the school are badtoo. Like are they even doing there job. There havebeen some student who actually need help and have been brave enough to talk about there struggles and problems, but the school does nothing, and there are people who are perfectly fine and are receiving help. And the students at the school are just as bad especially the ones who are very open about their racism. And they treat the student with disabilities like outcast (the students). So don't count on this school to actually provide your kid with actual care trust me I'm a student at this school and it's like hell here.Student Review2y ago - Check out schools near 170 Vineyard Way.

"Polar opposite experiences from when you enter downtown Riverhead, which is not to be considered as safe as communities closer to the other side of town ... where many neighborhoods and developments are located up and down Sound Avenue ... and just blocks from a handful of public and private beaches overlooking the beautiful Long Island Sound. "The area is going through a transition for the better — downtown Riverhead is becoming more popular for both young kids, teens .... and adult age groups. Main street is now lined with popular restaurants and bars all along the Riverwalk, which is a great place to go for a walk / people watch / stroll around with Ralphs! "
