Description

Super charming and with a very well designed layout offering an easy flow from room to room, this small house does not feel small. Great circulation and plenty of space to spread out with a huge enclosed year round porch and also the 'Bump-Out' addition, now used as the TV room. The kitchen is efficient and easy, the dining room is elegant and the main living room has a beautiful exposed staircase in old oak wood. Three bedrooms upstairs and a full bath, each filled with natural light from so many windows. A separate garage is perfectly situated only steps from the kitchen door and the high wooden fenced yard allows for complete outdoor privacy. Set on a rather large lot this is a very special property. Three minutes from downtown Hudson and five minutes to Amtrak.

"It's eclectic and gentrified, From whaling and international trade in the 18th century, to cotton mills and brick yards in the 19th century, to cement plants in the early 20th century, industry has risen and fallen. After a long steady decline, the last 30 years in Hudson have seen a remarkable and elegant transformation, thanks in no small part to the influences of my home city, 120 miles to the south. Hudson’s current renaissance started in the ’80s when antiques dealers and artists rediscovered the area and started opening up shop. There are now dozens of antiques stores and galleries along Warren Street, all of which have attracted similarly creative retailers and residents. As diverse as the architecture is, there’s a consistency, thanks in part to the city’s original grid layout of 50- by 120-foot lots and the general uniformity of the buildings’ scale. Hudson fulfills its promise as an escape: verdant hills, roadside farmstands, hawks and eagles overhead. It’s home."
