9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageQuaker Valley High School may be an excellent school for some students, but may not be for others. Most of the teachers, the academics and opportunities as well as the special education department are top notch! However, the bullying and harassment policy and protocol overall in the Quaker Valley School District as a whole, needs updated and revamped to match what is happening in today’s society amongst teens on school property and on social media. This is not just our family who feels this way. Student as well as Teacher training on how to notice, report and stop bullying in its tracks, as well as student advocacy against bullying in the high school above the freshman level is not up to par. Bullying should be dealt with in a timely manner in all school districts. Unfortunately, that is not always the case at QV. This is of the utmost importance with how a decent amount of students at the middle school and high school level mistreat their peers and can be beyond cruel to one another. All of our children have either been in private or public schools for over 18 years now. This includes 6 different school districts in 3 different states, encompassing city and non-city schools, so we have experience in very different environments and a with a wide diversity of students. Not all, but a good portion of students in the class of 2022 at QV High School are the worst class for bullying and harassment we have ever experienced in all these years. What a shame that many of the students act more like immature privileged middle schoolers only caring about themselves and not caring one bit about others or who they hurt, rather than young adults who should be respectful, responsible and compassionate human beings. Teach our Children Well in all aspects of life, not just education. They are the future.Parent Review2y ago - Osborne Elementary School

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe moved to the area last year and have been very pleased with Osborne. The teachers are very engaging and teach a challenging curriculum. The class sizes for 3rd and 4th have been very manageable- about 21. They encourage reading and independent problem-solving when appropriate. The art and music teachers are excellent. The academic opportunities like spelling and geography bees, Odyssey of the Mind, and unique extracurriculars like GartEn Club and Running Club teach and entertain. I have been very happy with our choice!Parent Review7y ago - Check out schools near 15 Watson St.

"It's as smooth a commute as you get to downtown in the area. It's half an hour to downtown, a little longer at peak rush hour. the roads are well maintained in winter. You do run into some flooding on 65 going into the city when it's raining hard."

"We have lived in Sewickley Village for the past 12 years and it has been such a great place to raise our large family. Our seven children can walk the dog safely around the neighborhood daily, we're within a couple blocks of the library, YMCA, shops, friends, even the dentist and pediatrician. We did decide to move our kids to a school in the North Hills this year and the long commute, plus a new job for me with another long commute is the driving force for the move. All our kids friends are now in the North hills and we find ourselves in the car more than walking, so the village no longer makes sense for us. I can highly recommend it though if you are looking to move into the QV school system! Village living can't be beat! Best of luck with your home search."
