N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur son had an enjoyable time in Deasy School. From Pre-K to second grade it was an eye opening adventure. All of his teachers were instrumental in his growth... talk about leaps and bounds. Thank yous are not enough when it comes to our son's teachers. They were all compassionate and understanding. The then Miss D, Mrs N. Mrs. V and Mrs. H. we adore and will always treasure the time you spent with our son.Parent Review11y ago - Glen Cove High School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAverage to good school… I went to high school here… When compared to other friends who went to more demanding schools, the high school could’ve prepared me better …Some of the teachers I encountered were excellent… Some not so…Again as somebody said… You make the best of what you have to excel… I wasn’t prepared for the rigorous university that I went to … especially in writing skills… No preparation for how to write a research paper…I enjoyed the drama program… I have no regrets…Parent Review1y ago - Landing School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have no idea why this school is ranked so low - the teachers have been exceptional, the administration caring and responsive, and lots of attention is paid to each and every student. We are very happy our daughter attends this school. The only negative issues I can see with this school are funding (that's the community's majority senior population not caring about the public schools and not wanting their taxes to go up) and family engagement since many families in the community work full-time - neither of which are a problem with the school itself.Parent Review1y ago - Robert M Finley Middle School

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI was in a private school in Queens until 5th grade. I started public school in 6th grade, my first year at Robert M Finley Middle School. I was welcomed into the school and I was on Gerby team. It was a bit confusing at first but overall the teachers were nice and some obviously werent. My friends on the other team always said how a teacher yelled at them a lot. I was in a class of hispanic ESL students. I had 2 classes with them and then the rest they had different split teachers because they didnt know english that well. I am currently in the halfway point of quarter 2 and i would like to say things are different. Teachers like to assume that because 1 class was too loud that the sub said he wouldn't play it for us which was unfair. Also ive noticed there are more meaner teachers. A lot of kids do get into fights and there is lots of teasing. Lots of student feel attacked about there culture sometimes with comments that some kids make. Also some kids are dating but I really don't feel like thats in issue besides for the fact that lots of girls like to gossip and it might hurt some girls hearts that there crush is dating. There is lots of teasing but overall i do like this school. My guidence counsler is never in his office though.#DEC22,2022 CLASSOF2028Student Review1y ago - Check out schools near 15 George St.
